Stretch Marks During Pregnancy
Stretch marks are a type of scar tissue that is formed during the latter half of pregnancy as the normal skin elasticity is not able to accommodate for the stretching that occurs during pregnancy. They are commonly seen in the abdomen, breasts, buttocks and thighs. Stretch marks cannot be prevented with creams.
Stretch marks are commoner in some people when compared to others which depend on their connective tissue makeup. The probable remedies include consumption of a diet rich in vitamin C and E with adequate protein and keeping the skin supple with oil, coco butter, aloe vera gels.
Exotic skin creams are only expensive and are not of any use. Usually these marks fade away after each pregnancy.
