Infertility Treatments from Milann
IVF - In Vitro Fertilization
IVF is a process in which fertilization takes place outside the body. The eggs and sperm are retrieved, cleaned, and fused to fertilize in a laboratory dish.
Once the embryos are formed they are transferred back to the uterus.
IUI - Intra Uterine Insemenation
IUI is another method of conception, for which sperm are collected, cleaned, and concentrated. These sperm are then placed directly inside the uterus around the time the woman is ovulating to increase the chances of conception.
ICSI - Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection
ICSI is often used in cases of male factor infertility. For this process, the eggs and sperm are collected and cleaned. After which a single sperm is injected into each egg. After an embryo is formed, it is transferred back into the woman's uterus.
Egg Freezing or Oocyte Cryopreservation
In this process, a woman's ovaries are stimulated with hormones to produce multiple mature eggs, which are then retrieved and frozen for use when she is ready to have a child.
Sperm Cryopreservation
This process involves the collection and cleaning of the sperm. These sperm are then frozen and stored for future use.
Embryo Freezing or Embryo Cryopreservation
The process starts with stimulating a woman's ovaries with hormones to make them produce more mature eggs. The mature eggs and sperm are retrieved and cleaned. The cleaned eggs and sperm are then fertilized in a laboratory dish to form embryos, which are then frozen for future use.
